My thoughts on Lavender & Coriander

The new Lavenderland collection officially hit stores yesterday, but I was able to attend a preview event on Saturday where I was able to make a purchase, so I've had the weekend to have a little try of some of the collection!

I was least excited to try Lavender & Coriander - I've previously owned the Herb Garden version of this scent (one I love by the way). However my interest was piqued when the lovely Katie revealed this was a reformulation! The Herb Garden version features French Lavender, whereas the Lavenderland collection is a celebration of English Lavender, so this is the only lavender used here. Initially I didn't expect this to make much of a variance - And although there is an initial similarity, there actually is a noticeable difference!

The Herb Garden version is unapologetically aromatic, whereas this version is subtly warmer and slightly spicier.

This is what Lavenderland Lavender & Coriander evokes in me - The spicy aspect of lavender.

Sadly it's possibly too subtle - This is a very close to skin scent. First a delicate spice, that transforms into an almost gourmand aromatic, that sadly didn't seem to project.

Described by Jo Malone London as. "Aromatic English lavender nestled in a fragrant herb garden, bolstered by the striking note of coriander. Earthy sage deepens the lavender's timeless scent, while creamy tonka bean adds an unexpected touch of warmth and sensual balance,"

Lavender & Coriander contains top notes of coriander, heart notes of English Lavender and base notes of sage and tonka bean.

Lavender & Coriander (Lavenderland) is avaiable in a limited edition 30ml cologne.
