My thoughts on Lupin & Patchouli.

Lupin & Patchouli has a very warm, smoky opening. Patchouli is surprisingly not the star of the show, despite it appearing in the heart and base. However patchouli here does ground the fragrance beautifully, leaving an earthiness that makes this floral not quite fresh, not quite floral. Despite being a top note, I find the mandarin lingers around throughout, first adding sunshine to the bouquet of lupin, but then adding a dash of cutting sweet for the smoky, woody base.

Lupin, Mandarin and Buchanan leaves make up the top notes, with a heart of rose and Patchouli, trailed by a base of Patchouli, Sandalwood and Tonka bean.

Lupin & Patchouli: Reminiscent of canal banks, awash with colour. A rainbow of lupin flowers, enriched by luxurious rose and deepened with rebellious patchouli. A surprising contrast with the fresh vibrancy of mandarin.
