The story:

Designed as part of the new cologne intense collection, the initial concept was to use ingredients that wouldn't ordinarily pair together. With Amber & Patchouli, the intention was to make two strong fragrances that could clash, to work harmoniously.

Review:
The opening to Amber & Patchouli is surprisingly fresh, at least for the first few seconds.
Almost instantly the spice kicks in, before we reach the woody delight.
I'm almost tempted to call this one note for this reason. Whilst it's true there is not much of a journey, the richness here - A leathery suede with almost spiced chocolate notes amongst the wood, is divine.
An embracing, comforting scent that is also seductive, sexy and mystical.
I own the Huntsman version, which I have heard has been slightly reformulated to not be as strong as the original, but I don't know for certain if this is true.

Special editions:
Amber & Patchouli received a Huntsman makeover in 2018.

This fragrance is now discontinued, but is still available as part of the Huntsman collection at the moment.
